HD Hyundai Construction Equipment has launched a new lineup of mini excavators, poised to bolster its market presence with enhanced product competitiveness and supply capabilities.

The company announced on December 8 that it hosted the “Global Launching Ceremony for 7 New Mini Excavators” at its Ulsan Campus (Promotion Hall). Attended by 200 individuals from 15 countries including expatriate employees, dealers, and representatives of partner companies, the ceremony served as a platform for the global unveiling of the latest product offerings.

This event follows the “Global Workshop” held at the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center in Pangyo for four days starting December 4th, where strategies for reinforcing the competitiveness of compact products (small construction equipment) were discussed. The event was organized to showcase the new product lineup and generate innovative ideas for global marketing initiatives.

The event featured △ product unveiling, △ product explanation and demonstration, △ mini talk show, △ and performance concert for global dealers.

Consisting of 7 types of vehicles (1.7-ton, 1.9-ton, 3-ton, 3.5-ton, 4-ton, 4.8-ton, and 5.5-ton), HD HYUNDAI CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT’s full lineup of new mini excavators was designed to enable the company to respond to diverse customer needs. The slogan “NEW STANDARD” captures the confidence and determination to become the new standard in the excavator market.

The new products boast of premium specifications and performance capabilities to comply with the “STAGE V” regulation, the European standard on greenhouse gas emissions. These advancements not only maximize work efficiency but also result in the lowest noise levels compared to competitor models.

Considering the diverse customer base using mini excavators, an emergency switch has been incorporated to allow operators to stop the engine instantly in emergency situations; thus significantly enhancing safety measures. Operator comfort has been prioritized through a spacious cabin interior achieved with an ergonomically designed layout.

The demand for mini excavators is on a consistent rise each year, thanks to their versatility in various environments such as urban areas, farms, and rural homes. According to Off-Highway Research, a UK-based research agency specializing in the global construction equipment market, the demand for mini excavators is expected to continue its upward trajectory, surpassing the KRW 18 trillion mark by 2027.

"We have successfully increased our production capacity of mini excavators by over 40%, from 7,000 to 10,000 vehicles per year. This expansion enables us to address global demand swiftly. Moving forward, we are committed to enhancing our product competitiveness to maintain a technological edge over our rivals in the mini excavator market," President Choi Cheol-gon of HD Hyundai Construction Equipment said in his welcome address.  <END>
